About

I have been in the beauty industry for over 10 years, but my interests in hair and make-up began as a little girl.  I enrolled in beauty school with a scholarship to Pittsburgh Beauty Academy to pursue my passion in cosmetology, even after earning my Bachelor of Arts in Business Management.  I worked in Pittsburgh for 3.5 years behind the chair, cutting hair as well as styling and updo work for weddings.  At the same time, I attended professional courses to pursue my interest in make-up.  Mostly self-taught, I began doing make-up for special events, in addition to hair.  With extensive experience and a true  passion for event and special occasion hair and make-up, I earned the reputation as "the updo queen," now having done over 200 brides.  When I relocated to San Francisco, I began working on fashion shows and  even donating my time to charity events benefitting breast cancer and  AIDS, as I continued to be sought after for weddings and special  occasions.  In the 9 years that I spent in San Francisco, I was  involved in numerous press junkets, editorial shoots, television and  film projects for Sony Pictures Classics, concerts  and fashion  runway shows, including Macy's Passport, a fundraiser to benefit HIV/ AIDS research and awareness, all the while building and maintaining a  thriving and diverse salon clientele.  After having relocated to  Chicago with my husband and two children, I currently divide my time between Chicago, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
